House Plants Could Bloom Under Artificial Light

Plants produce oxygen, make clean air. The flowers bring beauty to the room. These conditions create many benefits like refreshing environment, lower blood pressure, boost mood and improve our overall health. 

Since many of our indoor rooms have low or no natural (sun) light, thus we might think that no chance to grow blooming plants. Indeed, we could use artificial (electric) light to stimulate plant to grow as well as to bloom. 

There are a lot of plants to be chosen to grow inside rooms, some of them are Philodendron, Spider Plant, Peace Lily, Creeping Fig, Golden Pothos or Money plant, Snake Plant, Bromeliads, Parlor palm and Dracaena.

Bromeliads grow in the quite wide room space

We ourselves grow Bromeliad (Bromelia sp) in our inside rooms under artificial light. We love the “red” flowers of plant. The flower, actually is the leave of plant, colors could be cream, red, yellow, maroon and white or variation of these colors.

This plant originally come from areas of West Indies and Latin America, nut well adapt to various temperature, thus pretty easy to care. Interestingly, the plant is one of the best floral gifts for many occasions such as mother day.

Tips to take care of plant available in the brochures provided by plant shops or Walmart or Home depot flowers section. Generally speaking, plant well grow in the temperature range from 13 to 29 degree Celsius, watering and fertilize regularly with proper amount.
